Music Show #119 –10/5/2018 – Telling Our Stories: Part 13
Another show in a series dedicated to encouraging us all to share our stories.
This month’s story: “Davey’s Beer Basket Buggy” – When teenage fads become addicting, a wide-eyed young boy takes a job delivering beer and cigarettes to make enough to feed his cravings.
Song #1 “I Enjoy Riding My Bike” – A fun bike riding song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4z162efrIxw&index=10&list=PL5294AD25E7CB1953&t=6s
Song #2 “Can’t Buy Me Love” – (Lennon/McCartney) – A relaxed cover of a Beatle song that I was weaned on as a young guitarist.
Song #3 “It’s Been a Long Hard Day” – A song for one of those “long hard days.”
Song #4 “Turn, Turn, Turn” – (Pete Seeger) – A cover of the children’s version of the song.
Song #5 “Help Wanted” – A song inspired by a comic strip of the same name created by Matt Smeltzer and myself.
Song #6 “Where Your Treasures Are” – A simple reminder that “what we value most, will occupy our mind’s eye.”
