Classic Rock Triple Play Thursday

Some stations play Two For Tuesday, and that’s fine and all, but we bring you TRIPLE PLAY THURSDAY! Each 3 song set features a deep cut in the middle, sandwiched by key LP cuts, hit singles and non hit singles by all the classic rock greats. You’ll also hear live versions of songs you hear all the time and might be sick of. Listen every Thursday from 2am to 5am and 5pm to 7pm.

Derby Rocz

The Cashman, Hater Tot, Farrah Daze Rage and Shockin’ Audrey explore the world of Roller Derby and talk about Rochester’s Roc City Roller Derby’s 2 teams the Roc Stars and the B-Sides.  Catch interviews with the who’s who in the sport, and hear our weekly “explain the rules” segment.  We also tackle issues with this women’s centric sport and the emergence of a men’s league.  Fridays from 7 – 8pm.

Dharma Doors

Dharma Doors shares mindfulness practices that you can experience in the moment, inspiring stories, meditations, breath work, music, readings, and more. All to inspire us to remember that “there is no way to peace, peace is the way.”  We want to help each other have compassion and understanding in these difficult times.   The word “Dharma” has many meanings, including teaching, but a teaching embodied through practice and looking deeply.  Each week we will explore the infinite number of  “Dharma doors” or opportunities to bring relaxation, joy, and insight to more moments through mindfulness. Tuesdays from 5 – 6pm.

Every Album Tells a Story

Each week we look at and listen to an album by a local, regional, or national musical act.  Interviews and live music abounds.  Saturdays Noon – 1pm.

Fresh Toones

Original songs written and performed by Dave Puls. He’ll be sharing some of his thoughts about the creation of those songs and hopes to inspire others to create their own fresh toones. Fridays at 2pm with a bonus classic episode immediately following at 2:30pm.

Metal Mountain

Randall Burton has been a metal fan all his life and it’s that expertise that brings you a 2 hour climb up the Metal Mountain. Each week he’ll dive into his vast catalog and bring you hard rock and heavy metal of every shape and size. Glam, New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, 60’s and 70’s classics, Symphonic Metal, Hair Bands and so much more. You’ll hear songs that you simply won’t hear anywhere else!

Randall also likes to play Local and unsigned hard rock and heavy metal bands. You can submit the promo package to the station and he will play it on a future episode.

Mind of Magnus

Armed with a single goal to ‘Learn something interesting and meet someone new everyday”, your host Magnus Champlin uses his show to share both. His talk show offers you, the listener, the opportunity to learn about the fellow Rochestarians that share your city. That Thing With Rich Appel

If you loved the fast-paced top 40 radio of the 1960s and 70s – where DJs talked up to the vocals, acappella and “shotgun” jingles stood out, and the commercials were almost as good as the hits – you just might like that thing with Rich Appel.

That Thing is a weekly three-hour celebration of that radio, highlighting the jingles, commercials and all the hits (from the rock ’n roll 50s through the rockin’ 80s), with features such as “The Slow Dance Make-Out Song of the Week,” “A Year in an Hour” and “The World’s Shortest Countdown.” Late Saturday/Early Sunday at Midnight.
